Super great atmosphere with GehRock from Potsdam

Nice cozy place right on the water, which invites you to linger with a balanced menu, local and seasonal dishes. A really rustic garden restaurant with a long tradition. The innkeepers are still really at the guest and offer great opportunities to celebrate and from time to time great live concerts. What more do you want.

Great ambience, excellent cuisine, 7 of us were there for a birthday party, everyone had a different dish, everything came together at the table and every dish was a poem ... super nice and thoughtful staff, the coffee worth praise, the Cakes can't be topped (we were there from noon to coffee) ... recommendable and fully priced ... finally: the toilets very clean ... we'll be back ... keep it up

I've known the Hinzenbergklause since the late 1980s. As students we were happy and often there. It was and is idyllic and very spartan there. But that's what's special. An insider tip. Now yesterday I was there again after more than 25 years. A new operator has been there for three years. Prices are decent, two small beers and a strawberry punch for eleven euros, well, I didn't try the meal, but it was probably also very expensive, everything in the range of around twenty euros ... That’s okay. The toilet house is still original, and I had a very good chat there with a regular guest. So one is probably glad that this traditional restaurant could be preserved and concerts will probably take place there. The view of the water behind these wooden protective windows is priceless. Four points for the nostalgia factor and the idyll. The fifth point is an expandable reserve. By the way, the staff was very nice, the corona regulations were observed.

Nice landlady rustic beer garden right on the Havel in Potsdam

Slightly rustic restaurant in a garden area. Very friendly service. Delicious "home-style" food. Reasonable prices. Right on the water, which strangely enough is not so often in Potsdam. If there was local beer too, it would be even better.

Somewhat hidden in a garden colony, but definitely worth it. The atmosphere outside is rustic. But you sit nicely protected by the water. The menu is clear and offers something delicious for everyone. Slightly high prices. Very nice and friendly staff. It's worth a visit.

Food was delicious ... fish was actually very good. Ambience, however, corresponds to a private garden, optically rather spartan. Card was tight and rather classy and doesn't really fit there. But as I said, the food and service were good.

Idyllic and the self-baked cake a dream. The dishes are unbelievably delicious and you can have a great view of the boats and the water.

Grog- Eisbeinfahrt 2019 This time, everything was great, great Eisbein and the Schnitzel and the trout were also very good. 2018 Very good but a trout according to the map without a bone should have none.

Nice and cozy place in the middle of the city. Perfect to take a break from everyday life. Since the operator change in the last year we were there several times. We liked it a lot and we always like to come back.

Great place in an unbelievable location, sitting outside without hearing any street noise from Potsdam. The staff is very friendly and there are also offers in addition to the card selection. The food was great, classic German dishes are available here in great portions. 5/5 - I'll be back :)

Absolutely unfriendly service (owner?). You do not just grunt or yell at your guests. If you do not mind this job, then you should not do it. Will never come back, and advise not to go there.

Everything was better before. The location is still great. The offer is rather average, nothing special. Believe it is not even pasta. Prices do not match what is offered.

Hidden place in the allotment garden by the water. The cake is homemade. We had liver with onion, apple and puree - very good.

What if there is no English menu, just order one with your eyes closed. Guarantee to exceed your expectations. Now that you are in Potsdam, why not return to Berlin after sunset?

Awesome traditional german garden pub with a nice view on Havel river. Seasonal menu with spargel (which was what I was aiming for) made me really happy. Great meal, wonderful staff.

It's one of those old fashioned east German garden pubs. Affordable beers while sitting outside enjoying a beautiful view over the river Havel. Come casual have a beer or two but don't expect service or menu to be available in English.
